Through their fund, Washington County Food Access Improvement, the Community Foundation of Washington County and their partners are announcing the 2025 Food Access Improvement Grant Awards Ceremony.
In 2023, Mars Foods, The Delta Group and Molina Healthcare donated funding through the Community Foundation of Washington County for the specific purpose of addressing Food Insecurity in Washington County, MS. This ceremony will mark the third and final year of that commitment. The 2024 cycle awarded $87,500.00 divided across 8 recipients. The Community Foundation of Washington County will be granting a total of $50,000.00 this year which will be divided out among 8 Food Distribution and Food Educational programs in Washington County.
On Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 5:30 PM, the Community Foundation of Washington County will host the 2025 Washington County Food Access Improvement Ceremony. Eight recipients will receive their award checks and say a few words about their Organization and Programmatic Work that will be tied to their grant money.
