The Community Foundation of Washington County recently acknowledged a generous donation from the Greenville Elks Lodge #148, which helped fund the Foundation’s Community Holiday Project. The Elks Lodge’s willingness to lend a helping hand by passing out Thanksgiving meals and loading cars for the Giving Tree Project at Christmas demonstrated how the Washington County community works together.
Because the Greenville Elks Lodge #148 assisted with picking up food items and delivering them to families along with toys, the Giving Tree Project was a huge success. As a result of their financial support and volunteerism, a total of 207 children received toys, and 300 families received food. The Greenville Elks Lodge #148 is pleased to be able to support the Community Foundation of Washington County, and to join them in investing in the community.
